Is it just me, or are sodas becoming more about the color than the flavor? First Code Red and now Pepsi Blue. Sad. And while we're on the topic of dosing yourself with sugar, recent studies have shown that placebos can provide startlingly similar results to antidepressants like Prozac. I bet Lilly's just thrilled with that news. And in case you don't read them regularly, these two This Modern World cartoons amused me recently. And this bit over at The Onion. Yeah, if only.

Went to see Spiderman yesterday with friends and had a good time. Oh, and I decided to give it a quick review. Find it on the ...uh, Reviews page. Yeah.

Linkage: Maybe it's just me, but digging up a very-sealed-up body ridden with a flu virus that killed 40 million people in 1918 seems like a very bad idea, precautions or not. Also, U.S. Navy men shagged out an entire Australian brothel. And I'm apparently not the only one who's peeved off by John Edwards. And for my fellow Buffy fans, this is probably good news. EMW, over and out.

Okay, I laughed out loud. (Er, I mean LOL'ed.) Ever wonder what kind of things you might see if L337 H4X0R5 ruled the earth? (That's 'LEET HAXORS' -- or "elite hackers" -- for you non-gamer types.) Yeah, they're really that lame. I mean, of course, that they're lemurs. Bedtime, young man, now! March!

Note to self: no more blogging when tired and silly, okay? All right, then.

If you, like me, have been enjoying Moby (or rather, his music) for years (me, since 1994 or so) but unlike me, haven't been reading much about him, Wired has done a nice story on him. Cover story for the new May issue, in fact. Definitely worth checking out, if only to witness how differently his 1999 effort, Play was marketed than most platinum-selling albums. I also added his blog to my links page, which I gleaned from the article.

So, have you seen that thing about starches at high temperature, the acrylamide levels, and the cancer? Basically, early research (which, mind you, has not been confirmed by other scientists yet) indicates that french fries, potato chips, bread, and cereals might be causing a lot of cancer. Hoo boy. Hope that one doesn't turn out to be true. Also, it turns out we've got a black hole in our own back yard. Hope the earth doesn't, you know, get sucked in, 'cause that would definitely ...uh ...suck. Or something.

Bonus Linkage: Ever seen an inflatable room? Neat. Also, art exhibit or desecration of the dead? Either way, yuck.
